Hello all. I have been very busy. I started reading the Harry Potter books. I might be the only one left on the planet that has not read them yet. I just started book two. Book one was pretty cute.
So my husband and I have decided to look into being foster parents. I have done my du diligence and I think that this may be for us. I have also made an appointment with the specialist and because of the hours that they have and my husband’s hours at work we were not able to get in until April!!
I am missing home (Buffalo) lots lately. My husband and I are trying to get caught up on some bills so we haven’t had the extra money for my usual monthly trips. I haven’t been home since x-mas which is a pretty long time for me.

Jessica, That's awesome about desiring to foster....I have always wanted to do that ONE day, but I feel it's only fair for me to wait until my kids are a bit older 'just in case' a fostered child has issues that may affect my 3 and 5 yr. old. So I want to wait until they are more grown so that I can give the foster child special attention w/o it affecting my biological kids. I do believe one day we will foster and it sounds like such a blessing. My friend who has zero kids of her own fosters infants only, and one at a time. She knows her limits and plus she's in her 50's so she can't handle more than one. What a blessing to have you and myself and so many others want to love and care for a child, offering them a healthy invironment to live in even if it is just temporary.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I agree with Becky, your past text is really tiny, but mainly blends in to much with this background. Maybe you can change the background or at least change the color so it's not so strainiing on your readers eyes.
I'm glad to see you have a new blog style, and I'm glad you posted your photo too.
